New Farmers. The CAP and the challanges of European Agriculture – Agriculture and earthquake

The story of 43-year-old Giovanni Angelini Paroli, is tied to the “Casale Fonte Antica” and the land surrounding it in the area of Castelluccio (Umbria Region in Italy).
A place which still today holds most of the family’s memories. Together with his siblings Elisabetta and Paolo and his mum Anna, Giovanni continues the dream started by his dad Angelo, recuperating the old family house renovated in 2007, according to the most advanced anti-seismical regulations and which today hosts tourists from Italy and abroad. Giovanni’s family also run a farming company on approximately 50 hectares producing lentils, spelt and grass peas. This is combined with agri-tourism activities with an orchard, a vegetable garden and medicinal herbs.
